It is ideal for sites that lack a drop ceiling, building air conditioning, or the ability to handle in-building heat rejection. The 3.5kW cooling system consists of an indoor and outdoor unit connected by two field-installed copper pipes to transfer heat from the IT equipment and reject it outdoors into the ambient air. The indoor unit fits into most standard racks and takes up only 6U, saving valuable space in the rack, and on the floor for other IT gear. Variable-speed components help ensure energy efficiency, and can help lower operating costs, while remote monitoring capabilities provide ease of access and management.

CONDENSATE MANAGEMENT
The Vertiv VRC also simplifies condensate management since it is shipped with a condensate pump that help take out water from the unit and into a drain pipe. For the split version, the outdoor unit has the condensate management pump.
