Add Ports to Your Workstation

Newer tablets, laptops, desktop computers and even smartphones often have USB Type-C ports, but they come equipped with few others. Using a single USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port, this Tripp Lite docking station adds versatile connections to your device.

Typical Applications

  • Extend or mirror your laptop or PC monitor on multiple displays to aid in multitasking and increase productivity
  • Transfer data to and from a USB flash drive or external hard drive
  • Access a wired Ethernet network in a location with no or spotty Wi-Fi
  • Charge your notebook or laptop by connecting its wall charger to the USB-C PD Charging port
  • Connect a microphone/headset to record a podcast or listen to music

More Screens Means More Productivity

Connecting the attached USB-C cable to a source device that supports DisplayPort MST (Multi-Stream Transport) mode to transmit content to up to three monitors simultaneously. With a Windows source device, you can display the same image on all connected monitors, extend the host desktop across them with different windows open on each, or combine them into one large display as a video wall. Note: Mac OS laptops or computers will only extend to one monitor. The other monitors will be mirrored.

HD Quality Viewing

  • 4K @ 30 viewing supported on Mini DisplayPort and HDMI monitors
  • 1080p @ 60 Hz viewing supported on VGA monitors
  • If your source computer supports USB DisplayPort Alt Mode, you can output 4K video and digital audio to a compatible monitor, television or projector without installing special software drivers

All-In-One Travel Adapter

The compact U442-DOCK-16B not only fits conveniently on your desktop, but also in laptop bags and travel cases so you won’t need to bring multiple adapters on the road. Its self-storing USB-C plug conveniently folds into the U442-DOCK-16B’s housing, and its plug-and-play setup requires no software or external power source – it works right out of the box.

Limited USB-C ports can force you to choose between connecting a peripheral and charging your laptop’s battery. The USB-C Power Delivery (PD) port powers and charges your laptop without affecting the other connections. Your laptop’s wall charger connects to the USB-C PD port, which supports power input up to 20V, 3A (60W).
