TRUE SERIAL CAPABILITIES

Vertiv Avocent MergePoint Unity KVM Switches support the MPUIQ-SRL module, which provides true serial capabilities through Telnet, allowing multiple remote users (1 to 8 users). An SSH session or a serial viewer can be launched from the On-Board Web Interface (OBWI) to connect the Avocent MPU’s attached target devices (8 to 32 8-pin connectors) that have an MPUIQ-SRL module.

ADDED SECURITY

Reduce the need to physically enter the data centers for local access and control. The Avocent MPU provides remote users the capabilities of a direct physical connection from anywhere to KVM, USB, and serial ports of servers and other IT equipment. Using the virtual media capabilities of the Avocent MPU, the provided smart card reader can be mapped from a desktop PC out to a remote server while still meeting advanced security requirements.

Avocent MPU KVM Switches reduce the time required to remotely diagnose, reconfigure, repair, or restore servers as well as network devices and other hardware with serial configuration and/or management consoles. Complementing in-band tools create a more complete remote management solution to access servers and network equipment at remote locations. Additionally, the switches are compatible with Vertiv Avocent DSView 4.5 management software.
