Hardened industrial switches are designed for use in the harshest networking environments. Industrial switches also conveniently feature alarm output triggered by power failure, and dual redundant power inputs with overload current protection. Industrial switches require an industrial power supply, and are often installed inside an outdoor-rated enclosure.
