Tripp Lite's B064-032-01-IPG NetDirector® 32-Port Cat5 IP KVM Switch is the smart solution for controlling multiple computers and servers in a complex, demanding IT environment. Its rugged housing, premium connectors and superior functionality ensure trouble-free operation. The B064-032-01-IPG can control up to 32 servers/computers directly, including blade servers. It is compatible with USB connections using Tripp Lite B055-001-series server interface units and inexpensive Cat5/5e patch cables. Redundant dual power supplies ensure this KVM will continue running if the primary power supply fails. Built-in IP capability allows up to two users—one local and one remote—to access the network, either independently or simultaneously.
Typical Applications
This KVM switch is designed for data centers, server rooms and other high-density environments. In addition to its built-in IP capability, an optional dial-in connection provides access when the primary network is unavailable. Each KVM port features an LED that lets you know when a computer is connected, powered on and selected. An advanced on-screen display (OSD) with high-resolution video up to 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz provides a GUI (graphical user interface) with management tools, including custom port labeling, auto-scannng and panel array mode. The OSD may be set to display in English, German, Russian, Japanese, traditional Chinese and simplified Chinese.
Three levels of password protection (super administrator, administrator and user) and authentication support (via RADIUS, LDAP, LDAPS and Active Directory) prevent unauthorized people from gaining access to servers and computers.
The B064-032-01-IPG features Virtual Media capability. That means any computer connected to the KVM via a server interface unit, such as a Tripp Lite B055-001-USB-V2 (sold separately), can access flash drives, DVD/CD drives and other storage media remotely, as though it were directly connected. This lets administrators perform diagnostics, install software and transfer files from across a network, reducing the need for on-site visits. Three USB ports are provided on the KVM’s front panel for use with Virtual Media or USB peripheral devices.
Free NetDirector-AXS management software allows you to access and control the KVM from any location. From a single interface, you can remotely access server ports and manage KVM setttings. This software is available via the included CD or downloadable at www.tripplite.com/support.
