This 4K-capable cable securely connects HDMI-enabled laptops, tablets, PCs, Blu-ray players, game consoles or satellite/cable TV boxes to HDTVs, HD monitors, projectors or home theater receivers. Because the P568-50M-FBR uses optical fiber, it can transmit HDMI signals longer distances with no latency or loss. It also eliminates any EMI/RFI line noise that can interfere with your audio/video signal and disrupt the performance of your connected equipment.
The P568-50M-FBR supports Ultra HD video resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 (4K x 2K) at 60 Hz, 3D, 48-bit Deep Color, DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD for crystal-clear picture and sound. It’s compatible with HDCP 2.2 and HDMI 2.0 standards for carrying HDR (high dynamic range) signals. It also supports 4:4:4 chroma subsampling for top-level PC gaming or using your HDTV as a PC monitor.
Typical Applications
Because fiber cable is slimmer and more flexible than standard copper cables, the P568-50M-FBR is easier to install around corners and in hard-to-reach spaces behind equipment. It draws power from the connected device, so no external power supply is needed to transmit the HDMI signal across the longer distances unique to fiber optic cabling. Note: the cable must be installed in the correct direction to function properly, so please check the Source and Display labels on the connectors before installation.
