Cascade KVM Switches to Control Up to 512 Computers Simultaneously
By cascading up to three levels of KVM switches, you can control up to 512 computers at the same time. In a three-level cascade installation, the first KVM switch in the chain is considered the first-level unit. The KVM switches cascaded to the first-level unit are considered second-level units, and the KVM switches cascaded to the second-level units are third-level units. Switch from one connected computer to another using the front-panel buttons, keyboard hotkeys or the on-screen display (OSD). For convenient monitoring, the original console automatically switches between ports every five seconds.
Supports High-Definition 1080p Video + Audio
The DVI-I single-link connector supports digital video resolutions up to 1920 x 1200, including 1080p, and analog video resolutions up to 2048 x 1536. A 3.5 mm microphone jack provides audio input to connected computers. A 3.5 mm audio jack provides 2.1-channel sound to connected speakers. The B024-DUA8-SL also supports a VGA display when connected to a DVI to VGA adapter (such as Tripp Lite’s P556-Series).
Multi-View Feature Provides an Extra Level of Switching Flexibility
The multi-monitor feature stacks up to four KVM switches to connect up to seven computers with up to four DVI outputs and display video on up to four console monitors at once. This installation requires different cabling than standard cascade configuration and offers extra switching flexibility for multiple-monitor installations where multiple video cards are installed on each computer.
Multilingual On-Screen Display
The OSD presents a text-based interface in eight different languages: English, German, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Russian and French. It offers direct access to every connected computer—up to 512—and allows backup and restoration of KVM configuration and user profile information.
Independent USB 2.0 Peripheral Sharing
A front-panel USB 2.0 hub allows quick connection of two USB devices—such as printers, hard drives, scanners and webcams—between connected computers.
The plug-and-play KVM switch needs no additional software or drivers. Its durable metal housing mounts in 1U of space in an EIA-standard 19-inch rack using the included brackets.
