*Matrox has launched the new and improved Maevex 6152 quad 4K encoder and Maevex 6122 dual 4K encoder,
Maevex’s next-generation encoders and replacement SKUs for the Maevex 6150 quad 4K and 6120 dual 4K products,
respectively.
The Matrox Maevex 6150 quad 4K encoder appliance is the first in the world to deliver quad 4K input capture and encode, supporting at least four concurrent 4K streams and recordings—simultaneously. Six different streaming protocols, multiple chroma sub-sampling, adjustable encoding parameters, zero-latency pass-through, compositing, and so much more in a convenient, quiet, low power, rack-ready appliance form factor gives Maevex 6150 the flexibility to fit almost any encoding application.
The Maevex 6150 quad 4K encoder is the first in the world to drive simultaneous quad 4K/UHD and Full HD capture, encode, stream, and record from a single standalone appliance. Integrating seamlessly with standard 1 Gigabit Ethernet networks, Maevex 6150 includes zero-latency pass-through for real-time output of audio/video content on up to four 4K displays.
An on-device LCD display shows device IP and stream addresses, system information, and other urgent content, allowing for easy installation and troubleshooting issues directly on the device. Adding a separate monitor allows for previewing media and ensuring content appears exactly as intended before transmission. Six on-appliance buttons—to read and/or control the LCD display and start/stop streaming and recording functions—permit direct command execution in instances where software access is limited. Additional I/O for audio and USB connections ensures the functionality necessary for any installation.
The Maevex 6150 quad 4K appliance allows for simultaneous streaming, processing, and recording on all channels in multiple settings—all without sacrificing quality. This powerful appliance delivers content to on-premises end points, to the cloud and internet series, and also records to local or network storage for later editing and viewing, concurrently. Maevex 6150 can also transmit live and/or recorded content for multiple video-on-demand platforms— such as Facebook Live, YouTube, Twitch, Wowza®, Ustream™, LiveScale, and Restream to name a few.
Discover devices, manage content, access hardware, and monitor all streams and recordings from any location on the network via the robust Maevex PowerStream Plus software. Included with the purchase of Maevex hardware, PowerStream Plus renders both generations of Maevex products entirely monitorable, configurable, manageable, and updateable via an intuitive and easy-to-use application. PowerStream Plus can be installed on any network-connected computer.
Easily tailor operations by integrating PowerStream Plus features into existing applications or create new software applications with the PowerStream Plus SDK—available for both Windows® and Linux®. A REST API is also available for more flexible and portable software development and more direct access to Maevex devices.
