Tripp Lite’s B150-1A1-HDMI DisplayPort to HDMI over Cat5e/6 Active Extender Kit includes a transmitter and a receiver that convert a DisplayPort audio/video signal to HDMI, and then extend it to a high-definition television, monitor or projector up to 150 ft. away. You can save money by using your existing HDMI display without an expensive upgrade to a new DisplayPort monitor. The B150-1A1-HDMI is ideal for digital signage applications in schools, churches, trade shows, convention centers, retail environments and other locations where the video source is located farther from the display than conventional HDMI cables allow.
The HDCP 1.3-compliant B150-1A1-HDMI can extend a 1080i signal up to 150 feet (45.7 meters) or a 1080p signal up to 125 feet (38.1 meters) with a single Cat5e/6 cable. In addition to crystal-clear video, including 24-bit True Color (8 bits per channel), the B150-1A1-HDMI delivers full, rich stereo. The DisplayPort source device must be enabled to support audio in order for the B150-1A1-HDMI to extend audio signals.
One low-cost, user-supplied Cat5e/6 cable connects the transmitter and the receiver. For best results, use 24 AWG solid-wire Cat5e/6 cable, such as Tripp Lite’s N202-Series.
The receiver’s built-in HDMI cable features a latching connector that helps prevent the unit from becoming dislodged or accidentally disconnected from the display device.
The plug-and-play B150-1A1-HDMI requires no external power, software or drivers, no matter which major operating system you use. Just connect the transmitter’s built-in DisplayPort cable to the source device and a Cat5e/6 cable between the transmitter’s RJ45 output jack and the receiver. Connect the receiver’s built-in HDMI cable to the display. Both units are powered via the included USB Micro-B cables, which connect to USB ports on the source and display devices or USB wall chargers. LEDs light up to indicate when the units are receiving power and sharing a signal. Use the receiver’s equalization control to adjust the video image.
The B150-1A1-HDMI is compliant with the Federal Trade Agreements Act (TAA) for GSA Schedule purchases.
The B150-1A1-HDMI comes with a one-year warranty. It’s manufactured in compliance with strict RoHS specifications, reflecting Tripp Lite’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
