Tripp Lite’s B064-032-02-IPG NetDirector Cat5 32-Port Multi-User IP KVM Switch is the optimal solution for remotely controlling multiple servers, including blade servers, and a combination of PS/2, USB and serial computers. (Tripp Lite B055-001-Series server interface units and Cat5 patch cables are required; sold separately). Up to three simultaneous users are supported: one local and two remote. A single B064-032-02-IPG occupies a mere 1U of rack space, yet can control up to 32 directly connected computers, and up to 512 computers by cascading additional switches. This switch uses inexpensive Cat5 cabling, allowing you to integrate it into your existing installation with ease. It is compatible with all major operating systems.
The B064-032-02-IPG supports IPv4, Link Local IPv6 Address and IPv6 Stateless Auto configuration protocols. Two 10/100/1000 Mbps network connections give you redundant LAN or two-IP operation.
Access connected computers with the on-console pushbuttons, keyboard hot keys or the on-screen display. Two LEDs per KVM port indicate servers’ connected, selected and powered-on statuses, making local management convenient.
The 1600 x 1200 high-resolution OSD provides a graphical user interface with management tools that include custom port labeling, auto-scanning and panel array mode. The OSD can be displayed in English, German, Russian, Japanese, traditional Chinese or simplified Chinese. Accessing the connected computers is a breeze and multiple computers can be viewed at the same time using panel array mode. Critical events on the installation can be tracked via email notification, SNMP traps, the Windows-based log server or Syslog server.
Virtual Media allows connected computers using a Tripp Lite B055-001-USB-V2 Server Interface Unit to access DVD/CD drives, flash drives and other storage media as if they were directly connected to the controlling computer. In addition, three USB ports are located on the front panel of the unit for use with Virtual Media or an external keyboard and mouse.
To keep connected computers secure, the B064-032-02-IPG supports multi-level user authentication; remote authentication via RADIUS, LDAP, LDAPS and Active Directory; and advanced encryption technologies: 1024-bit RSA, 56-bit DES, 256-bit AES and 128-bit SSL. Other features that make this switch ideal for high-density IT environments include dual power supplies that allow the unit to continue running in the event one power supply stops receiving power, temperature sensors that control the speed of the unit's cooling fans, optional dial-in modem access and non-browser access using Windows and Java applications. A heavy-duty steel housing ensures the unit will stand up to heavy-duty use.
The B064-032-02-IPG comes with a 3-year warranty. It’s manufactured in compliance with strict RoHS specifications, reflecting Tripp Lite’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
The B064-032-02-IPG is compliant with the Federal Trade Agreements Act (TAA) for GSA Schedule purchases.
