The micro-cut (Level P-5) cut type is suitable for shredding documents with personal identity information as well as papers that contain sensitive business data, such as financial reports. One letter-size sheet is shred into over 2000 pieces. Credit cards can also be safely destroyed with this shredder. The 8-gallon waste bin catches all shredded materials and can be lined with either plastic or recyclable paper bags, sold separately. Twelve sheets, including those with paper clips and staples, can be shredded at one time. Plus, the SM12-08 shredder has Non-stop Jam Free technology to make shredding a breeze. While shredding, a LED light on the shredder face is green as long as users are within the sheet capacity. The light will turn red if capacity is exceeded to indicate that users are at risk of causing a jam. This model is best for small or home office use.
