The RV1250ULHW’s automatic line-to-battery transfer switch and integral charging system allow the unit to work as a vehicle inverter, standalone AC power source or extended-run UPS. When powered by an external 120V AC source, the unit keeps the user-supplied battery charged via a three-stage 14/55A selectable charging system while simultaneously delivering AC power to connected equipment.
In inverter mode, the RV1250ULHW accommodates peak surge demands with Double Boost output that provides up to 200% more power for up to 10 seconds, supporting equipment cold starts and motor cycling requirements. It can deliver up to 150% more power for up to one hour, keeping equipment running longer.
If it detects an overload in DC mode, the RV1250ULHW automatically shuts down and flashes an LED warning. Resettable 12V AC circuit breakers and a built-in cooling fan help prevent damage to the unit and any connected equipment.
In UPS mode, the RV1250ULHW responds to blackouts and brownouts with an automatic transfer to battery-derived AC power. The transfer rate of 16.6 milliseconds is compatible with many computer systems so you don’t lose your files or data.
The RV1250ULHW features a rugged polycarbonate housing that resists moisture, vibration and impact, making it perfect for use in trucks, RVs, boats or anywhere else reliable hard-wired AC power is needed. Built-in mounting feet allow installation on any rigid horizontal surface. A grounding lug on the side of the unit connects the RV1250ULHW to earth ground or the vehicle’s grounding system.
An RJ45 communication port allows connection of Tripp Lite’s optional APSRM4 (sold separately), which allows you to control and monitor the RV1250ULHW from up to 50 feet away.
