By adopting recycled plastic in the creation of Aspire Vero, we are demonstrating our commitment to reducing carbon emissions. This year, we have increased our reduction of CO2 emissions from 21% to 30%1, in our quest for a greater positive impact on the environment.
To reduce e-waste, we’ve lowered the amount of printed circuit board material used in Aspire Vero—for a 52% reduction in PCB surface area.3
Of waste has been prevented from potentially ending up in landfills thanks to Aspire Vero4—that’s like saving 96,000 water cooler jugs5!
In our ongoing passion to raise awareness of Post-Consumer Recycled plastics (PCR), we’ve increased usage to 40%6 on chassis and 50% on adapter casing—while retaining durability—for a longer device lifespan better equipped to handle everyday wear and tear.

1 Our Aspire Vero 15 ( AV15-53) used 40% PCR materials in its chassis which contributes to a 30% reduction in CO2 emissions over a laptop chassis of the same weight made with 100% virgin plastic. The estimated value is calculated according to PlasticsEurope Eco-profile reports*. The comparison is only focused on the material itself and is limited to comparing 100% virgin plastic to the 60% virgin plastic and 40% recycled plastic in Aspire Vero 15 (AV15-53P) while assuming other factors that may influence CO2 emissions are equal. For more details on PlasticEurope Eco-profile reports, please refer to the website ( https://legacy.plasticseurope.org/en/resources/eco-profiles ).
2 Aspire Vero is recyclable when third-party labels are removed prior to recycling.
3 Compared to Aspire Vero 2022 (AV15-52)
4 Based on Acer’s internal calculations from the number of Aspire Vero (AV15-52) units shipped in 2022.
5 Based on a standard water cooler jug of approximately 5 liters capacity.
6 Aspire Vero 15 (AV15-53P) is composed of 40% PCR material, while Aspire Vero 14 (AV14-52P) consists of 30% PCR material.
7 The 33% increase refers to the percentage point increase in PCR material in Aspire Vero 15 (AV15-53P) compared to Aspire Vero 2022 (AV15-52). This increase is based on the percentage point difference and not the percentage increase of the total PCR material. Specifically, the PCR material increased from 30% to 40%, representing a 10% increase, which is calculated as a 33.33% increase of the original quantity of the PCR material.
