Primary and Secondary Inputs Provide Power Redundancy

To provide redundant power, this PDU has dual three-meter input cords for connection to separate primary and secondary 230V single-phase power sources. Each cord has an IEC 309 32A Blue (2P+E) plug. An automatic transfer switch (ATS) handles the transfer of power between the two sources.

Automatic Transfer Switch Keeps Power Flowing

The ATS employs dynamic solid-state (TRIAC) switching to keep connected equipment operating without interruption. If the primary power source fails or becomes unstable, the ATS switches to the secondary power source within 1–5 milliseconds. A built-in processor monitors both power sources and prevents switching if the secondary source is unavailable or of lower quality than the primary source.

Digital Meter Allows Local Monitoring at a Glance

An easy-to-read digital display with LED indicators gives IT personnel a way to locally monitor voltage and load level (in amps and kW). Local monitoring helps installers balance load levels to prevent overloads that cause downtime.

Reliable Network-Grade Power Distribution

Unfiltered electrical pass-through makes the PDUMH32HVAT ideal for distributing utility, UPS or generator power in rack enclosures and network closets. It provides 230V power to 18 outlets (16 C13 and two C19) in two single-phase output banks that are protected by resettable 20A circuit breakers. This PDU mounts horizontally in 2U of space in EIA-standard 19-inch racks. Use the included cord retention brackets to reduce the clutter of equipment cords and increase accessibility to connected components.
