Tripp Lite’s APSINT2012 PowerVerter ® Inverter/Charger is the ideal power solution for RVs, over-the-road trucking, conversion vans, fleet service vehicles and any other application that requires a clean, quiet AC power source. Containing terminal and hardwire input and hardwire output, the APSINT2012 efficiently converts DC power from a 12V vehicle battery bank into 230V AC power for any type of equipment, including tools, saws, motors, pumps, portable lighting, appliances and computer equipment in heavy-load conditions. Unlike portable generators, the APSINT2012 requires no fuel and produces no noise or fumes. 

Works as an Inverter, Standalone AC Power Source or UPS

The APSINT2012 features an automatic line-to-battery transfer switch and integrated charging system that allow it to work as a vehicle inverter, standalone AC power source or extended-run UPS. When the APSINT2012 is connected to an AC power source, power is passed through to connected equipment and the battery set is charged via a 3-stage, 15/60-amp selectable charging system with adjustable settings for wet/gel battery types. In the event of a power failure or severe voltage fluctuation, the APSINT2012 responds with a near-instantaneous (20 millisecond) automatic transfer to battery power. Any number of user-supplied batteries may be connected to the APSINT2012 to provide unlimited extended battery backup support for critical equipment. A three-position switch enables you to select AUTO mode, CHARGE-ONLY mode or SYSTEM OFF mode.

Meets Normal and Peak Power Demands

When operating in inverter mode, the APSINT2012 accommodates peak surge demands by providing up to 200% more output power than its continuous rating of 2000 watts. In OverPower™ mode, the APSINT2012 can deliver 3000 watts for up to an hour, providing ample reserve power to keep tools and equipment running longer. In DoubleBoost™ mode, it can deliver 4000 watts for up to 10 seconds to support power-hungry equipment start-ups and motor cycling requirements.

Overload Protection

To prevent damage to the inverter and connected equipment, the APSINT2012 shuts down automatically if an overload is detected at the AC output connection. The red Load Level Indicator LED will flash to alert you that an overload has occurred. Additional overload protection is provided by a 10-amp AC input circuit breaker, 15-amp AC output circuit breaker and built-in multi-speed cooling fan.

Front Panel LEDs

The APSINT2012 features six front-panel diagnostic LEDs to indicate load level (high, medium and low), battery charge (high, medium and low), shutdown status and system fault status.


Heavy-Duty Construction

The APSINT2012 features a rugged, moisture-resistant, polycarbonate housing that withstands vibration, impact and high-humidity environments—ideal for use at remote worksites, in trucks, RVs and other vehicles, on boats or anywhere reliable AC power is needed.

Optional Remote Control Capability

The APSINT2012 is equipped with an RJ45 port for connection of an optional Remote Control LED/Switch Module (Tripp Lite model APSRM4, sold separately), enabling you to control and monitor the inverter/charger from up to 15 meters (50 ft.) away.
