What do switched outlet groups allow me to do?

Switched outlet groups provide greater control, allowing you to reboot hung devices, program sequenced on-and-off and non-critical load shedding of equipment.

How does SmartConnect advance plan differ from SmartConnect standard plan?

All new devices are on-boarded to the Standard plan with remote power monitoring, UPS and power events, automated distribution of firmware to UPSs with one-click remote installation and downloadable asset and renewal reports. Advanced Plan option provides UPS Outlet Group reboot for remote power cycling of connected IT equipment. Features vary with terms of use.

Does this UPS come with PowerChute Serial Shutdown software?

PowerChute Serial Shutdown is available for download from the apc.com. It is a UPS management software enabling graceful system shutdown in the event of an extended power outage and provides energy management capabilities for desktops, servers, and workstations.
