How can I tell how much power is remaining to support the operation of my devices?
You can find the remaining power and time through PowerChute Serial Shutdown software. When there is rapid beeping or blinking, UPS is about to shut down soon.
My UPS is on, but my power button is blinking and beeping.
Battery needs to be connected first. Please read the user manual for battery connecting instructions.
Can I place my LCD monitor or network device on top of the UPS?
Yes, as long as the LCD base stand remains steady on top of the UPS. Please leave some space to allow for heat dissipation.
What do I do if my battery backup is not providing the expected backup time?
Note that batteries require recharging after extended outages. Batteries can wear faster when put into service without proper recharging or when operated at elevated temperatures. If the battery is near the end of its service life, consider replacing the battery.
Will the USB Ports on this battery backup continue to charge devices when the power goes out?
Yes, as long as there is battery power in the battery backup, the USB Ports will actively power your Smartphone and other USB-charged devices.
Is the UPS battery user-replaceable?
Yes, the UPS is compatible with a dedicated user-replaceable battery, and the APC replacement battery cartridge helps restore UPS performance to the original specifications.
