Tripp Lite’s B164-101-WIR kit extends your wireless remote control of media devices like DVD or Blu-ray players, stereos and cable boxes up to 656 ft. (200 m). This complete wireless IR transmitter and receiver system’s pass through technology allows you to control speakers or a display with zero latency, even when the source device (e.g. the stereo or DVD player) is separated over a significant distance and/or out of sight, making it ideal for large-scale audio/video presentations and outdoor media applications.
Extended Wireless Range Technology for Media in Indoor/Outdoor Venues
The B164-101-WIR uses infrared (IR) wireless technology to provide a signal range of 656 ft. (200 m) between a device’s remote control module and the source device. Connect the B164-101-WIR transmitter to the device you wish to control (a TV monitor for example) via the included IR input plug; connect the B164-101-WIR receiver to the source device (a DVD player for example) via the IR output plug. You can control the video on the TV monitor remotely – a great tool for dispersed media devices and venues with indoor/outdoor seating like sports bars with patios.
