Features

Supports Connection of Smart Card Readers

This KVM has a Common Access Card (CAC) console port to support smart card readers and biometric readers, including fingerprint readers. The CAC console port provides a secure, convenient way to control access to connected computers, since specific readers can be assigned and registered to the CAC port.

Discourages Physical Tampering with Housing Intrusion Detection

If someone opens the KVM housing, internal anti-tamper components disable the KVM, rendering it inoperable. The front-panel LEDs will flash to indicate the unit has been compromised. Tamper-evident seals on the housing provide visual evidence of tampering attempts.

Maintains Safe Switching without Interruption

This KVM switch supports secure EDID emulation and learning, which prevents unwanted data from transmitting through the DDC lines. Both the keyboard/mouse and video emulation controllers restrict discovery of newly connected peripherals or monitors during switching, which shields computers from potential vulnerabilities.

Typical Applications

  • Control up to four computers with different security levels from a single monitor, keyboard and mouse.
  • Prevent sensitive information from being saved to a flash drive or transferred between computers connected to the KVM switch.
  • Use a smart card reader to control access to connected computers.
  • Meet NIAP PP3.0 security standards for government, military, financial, education and healthcare applications.
