Yes, Smart-UPS SMX3000HVTUS supports up to 10 APC external battery packs SMX120BP.

What are my options for UPS management and software?

Options for monitoring and managing your UPS include EcoStruxure IT, Network Management Card and PowerChute.

Do all models come with a preinstalled Network Management Card?

Select models with an "NC" suffix come with the network management card preinstalled.

PowerChute Serial Shutdown is available for download from the apc.com. It is a UPS management software enabling graceful system shutdown in the event of an extended power outage and provides energy management capabilities for desktops, servers, and workstations.
