The U344-001-DP-4K supports UHD video resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 (4K x 2K) @ 30 Hz, as well as 5.1 surround sound audio and video streaming up to 1080p. Using the latest USB 3.0 SuperSpeed standard, it shares data at speeds up to 5 Gbps, which is ten times faster than USB 2.0. It resumes automatically from hibernation and suspend modes. You can add as many as six total U344-001-DP-4K adapters at a time.

The bus-powered adapter is ready to use right from the box. Just install the driver using the included CD, and connect the unit to your source’s USB port and your display’s DisplayPort cable (such as Tripp Lite’s P580-Series). The U344-001-DP-4K is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and features 512 MB DDR2 SDRAM of memory. It’s also compatible with Windows 7 and later, Mac OS X 10.8.5 and later, and Surface tablets running non-RT Windows 8 and later.
