No External Power Supply Needed

The U223-010 will function with bus power directly from your computer in most applications – no external power supply is necessary. On bus power, this hub supports USB 2.0 with 500mA shared by all ports port. But if you’re connecting an especially power-hungry device, a compact, multi-voltage AC adapter is included to supply 2.5A of power shared among the hub ports, up to 500mA per port. Overcurrrent protection safeguards connected equipment from overvoltages.
