Newer tablets, laptops, Chromebook and MacBook notebooks and even desktop computers often have one or more USB-C (USB Type-C) ports, but come equipped with few others. Tripp Lite’s portable USB-C multiport hub/adapter expands the functionality of the USB-C (or Thunderbolt 3) port on your device and makes it compatible with your existing equipment. From a single USB-C port, you can:
Typical Applications
UPS battery backup support enables you to work through short power failures, and provides time to save files and perform an orderly system shutdown in case of a prolonged blackout. The SMART550USB’s internal battery provides 30 minutes of backup power for a basic desktop PC, 14.8 minutes for a half-load (150 watts) and 4.6 minutes of battery support for a full load (300 watts). During normal operation, incoming utility power keeps the UPS battery fully charged so that backup power will always be available when needed.
AVR protects connected equipment from incremental hardware damage, data loss and performance problems that can be caused by low-voltage conditions, commonly known as brownouts. The SMART550USB corrects brownouts as low as 89V to nominal 120V computer-grade power to all connected components without consuming battery power.
A sudden power surge or spike on a phone or network line can damage or destroy electronic components and wipe out irreplaceable data. The SMART550USB’s 480-joule surge suppression rating protects connected components and data from the harmful effects of power surges. One set of tel/Ethernet (RJ45) jacks provide dataline surge protection for a standard phone or network connection (cable included).
Various electrical and radio sources can cause disruptive interference on the AC line. This line noise is a common cause of incremental hardware damage, data corruption and audio/video performance problems. The SMART550USB incorporates technology that filters out electromagnetic and radio frequency interference so that it won’t affect your equipment.
The SMART550USB features a HID-compliant USB port (USB cable included). When used with Tripp Lite's free PowerAlert software (available for download at www.tripplite.com), this USB port enables safe unattended system shutdown and file saves in the event of a prolonged power failure. The USB port also seamlessly integrates with the built-in power management and auto shutdown features of Windows and Mac OS X.
The SMART550USB’s compact tower design is easy to integrate into a wide range of applications. An optional bracket (Tripp Lite model UPSWM) enables the UPS to be securely wall mounted.
The SMART550USB comes backed by a 3-year warranty and $200,000 Ultimate Lifetime Insurance coverage (USA, Canada and Puerto Rico only) for any connected components damaged by a power surge. The SMART550USB is also manufactured in compliance with strict RoHS guidelines to minimize the use of hazardous materials, and its replaceable internal battery is 100% recyclable.
