The ATH-CKS55XiS brings the Solid Bass experience to smartphone users. Featuring an in-line mic and controls, the ATH-CKS55XiS lets you answer calls, adjust volume and handle playback (play, pause, fast-forward and rewind) of music and video on smartphones and other portable devices.
The ATH-CKS55XiS features Audio-Technica's direct-diaphragm driver design that mounts the diaphragm assembly directly onto the edge of the enclosure for increased fidelity and dynamic impact. The headphones also incorporate Audio-Technica’s Solid Bass technology, which utilizes an exclusive Double Air Chamber System. In addition to the main air chamber that houses the driver, the earpieces have an additional chamber that operates in conjunction with a specially shaped housing to control and focus the airflow produced by the driver movement and expand its bass output. The result is expansive, rich bass that doesn’t sacrifice mids and highs.
The eartips of the ATH-CKS55XiS are designed for maximum bass response, as well, with a movable two-position post that lets you adjust the eartips for the best fit, sound isolation and low-frequency performance. Plus, with four sizes (XS, S, M, L) of interchangeable silicone eartips, you’re sure to get the best fit for your ears.
